Recognition is what makes a stay land. Misrecognition and misalignment is what turns into a nightmare trip.
The arrival of generative AI changed the field. Suddenly, surface-level discovery was infinite, instant, and free. The advisor's job did not get easier. It got harder. The differentiation moved upstream, into the part of the work that AI could not yet structure: the alignment between a specific guest's intentions and a specific property's experiential signature.
